The University of Cape Coast Basic School has emerged as the Overall winner for the Universities Basic School Sports Association (UBaSSA) Games. The UBaSSA Games, which took place from the 1st
of May to the 6th of May, 2023 saw some University Basic Schools compete in various disciplines of sports which include football and athletics.
The schools to compete for this year's UBaSSA games included Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Basic School, University of Ghana (UG) Basic School, University of Cape Coast (UCC) Basic School, the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) Basic School and the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Basic School.
